Kris Ott has been cleaning things professionally since 2012. That’s not a line from a resume, that’s over a decade of early mornings, difficult jobs, conversations in customer driveways, and figuring out what actually works versus what sounds good enough over the phone to sell a job.
It started with carpet and upholstery cleaning in Boise at one of the Treasure Valley’s most established companies. The building Kris worked in had been in the same family and serving the community since 1908. It was the kind of company that doesn’t exist anymore. Jerry Dunne, the owner of Certified Inc, ran his business the way businesses should be run, show up when you say you will, do the job right, treat people right. That stuck. When Certified finally closed the Idaho Business Review and the Idaho Statesman both covered the news. Kris was there for the last of it. Jerry’s daughter, Angelina, a Boise graphic designer, designed The Bright Side’s logo and branding. Some connections don’t need to be explained.
Cleaner Windows and the Treasure Valley
In 2019 Kris started Cleaner Windows, a window cleaning and pressure washing company in the Boise area. It grew fast. The reputation was real, the reviews reflected it, and within a few years it had become one of the more recognized exterior cleaning companies in the Treasure Valley, enough so, other companies were writing about it.
Eventually. someone offered to buy it. Kris said yes
Why Spokane?
The timing worked out the way good timing usually does, all at once. A new chapter personally, a baby on the way, and Tessa’s roots in the Pacific Northwest pulling them north. Spokane made sense. It still does.
The Bright Side launched in 2024 and the approach hasn’t changed from the Boise days. Show up. Do the job right. Communicate clearly. Don’t cut corners on a job just because nobody will see it from the street.

The Bright Side serves residential and commercial properties throughout Spokane, Spokane Valley, Liberty Lake, Post Falls, Coeur d’Alene, Deer Park, Airway Heights, South Hill, Hayden, and Rathdrum.
Our services include pressure washing, soft washing, house washing, roof cleaning and moss removal, window cleaning, concrete cleaning, commercial pressure washing with EPA compliant water reclamation, holiday light installation, and snow and ice management.
Every job is backed by our 110% satisfaction guarantee. If you’re not happy you don’t pay a nickel, pennies are obsolete anyway. We’ll also give you 10% of what the invoice would have been. We’ve never had to use it.
