We keep our quotes simple and it is by choice. After years of doing this and trying just about every quote style possible we think we have it figured out.
Here is exactly how our quoting process works from first contact to approved quote, plus what to look for when you are comparing quotes from any exterior cleaning company in Spokane.
It Starts With the Contact Form
Everything begins when you fill out a request on our website at thebrightsidespokane.com/contact-us. We built that form to take less than two minutes to complete. Service type, how you heard about us, your contact information, and a brief description of what you need.
That last field matters more than any other part of the form. Please use it.
We made the contact form simple to encourage people to fill it out. But when we have to guess what is needed and we get a short response saying that is not what you wanted or an impatient reply we are honestly less likely to respond back. A two sentence description of what you are looking for saves everyone time and gets you a more accurate quote.
If the contact form feels like too much commitment or you are shopping every company in town to save a few dollars that is completely fine. We are not the cheapest company in Spokane and we are not close to it. Our WashGuide will give you a fairly accurate price on what you need so you can do your research before you reach out.
What Happens After You Submit
We get an instant notification when a request comes in. Monday through Friday I try to reach out immediately to confirm I received it and let you know I am working on the quote or ask any clarifying questions. You will hear back the same day or first thing the next morning.
Some days run long and sending a quote at 8pm is about as exciting for you as it is for us. We are typically booked out about a week anyway so it can wait until morning. Everything is still received within 24 hours which we take seriously.
How We Build the Quote
We have pre-filled descriptions of services and base pricing built around square footage and minimum service charges. We tweak every quote based on what we have discussed about your specific property. For window cleaning sometimes the description is more generic because honestly how much detail can we give for cleaning windows. But for house washing, roof cleaning, and commercial jobs the description is specific to what we are actually doing at your property.
The square footage situation:
We stopped including square footage numbers on quotes and here is why. After taking the time to measure a property and put together a comprehensive bid one of three things happens. We get ghosted and never hear back. The quote gets approved and we schedule. Or the lead tells us the square footage is wrong and takes that number to every other company in town to shop the price.
We keep the square footage in our notes on our end. The quote tells you exactly what we are cleaning and how much it costs. That is what actually matters.
Window cleaning pricing:
We price all window cleaning jobs on a pane range that gets accurate results for most properties. We offer discounts on maintenance plans that lower your first time cleaning cost by $50 or $100 depending on the plan you select.
If we get the pricing wrong on our end we honor the price we quoted you and let you know what it will cost next time. No bait and switch. No we can only do part of the job because we missed the bid. That is on us not on you.
Commercial quotes:
For commercial jobs we come out the same day when possible and walk the property to get the full scope of work, take photos, and identify any additional services you might not have been aware of. A commercial quote is built from a site visit not from a description.
Receiving and Responding to the Quote
Once the quote is ready we send it via text or email. Usually text. You will get a message from us saying here is your quote from The Bright Side. Open the link and everything is spelled out. You can request changes, approve it, or decline it directly from there.
If you choose to do nothing our system has an automated follow up that will remind you of the pending quote. Please do not text us upset that the automated follow up is doing exactly what it is supposed to do. Just approve or decline the quote and it stops. Even better if you went a different direction just let us know. It saves you the follow up messages and it helps us keep our schedule accurate.
Scheduling After Approval
Once you approve the quote we reach out to schedule. Usually by text first because it is easy and convenient for everyone. If we do not hear back from a text I will give you a call directly.
We do not take deposits except for holiday lighting installations and commercial jobs. Any company asking for a deposit on a residential job that will take a few hours is hiding something. Scheduling things happen for everyone but in most cases we can clean your home even without anyone present. The schedule keeps moving and we either take a check or card when the job is done or send you an invoice by text and you can pay online.
Everything is payment due at time of service unless discussed beforehand. We did the work. We like to get paid. If something comes up we stand behind everything we do. If we cannot fix it we will refund you fully plus ten percent for wasting your time. Never had to use it but it is there to let you know we take our work seriously.
What to Look for When Comparing Quotes
When you are comparing pressure washing quotes from multiple companies here is what to look for.
What is included and what is not.
If it is not on the quote do not assume it will be done. Every quote from The Bright Side breaks down exactly what we are cleaning, how we are cleaning it, and what is included in that service. Screen cleaning. Gutter clearing. Debris removal. If it is part of the job it is on the quote.
How it’s cleaned.
Does the quote specify soft washing or pressure washing? Hot water or cold water? A quote that just says pressure washing without specifying the method tells you the company either does not know the difference or does not think you will ask. Ask.
The deposit question.
A residential pressure washing company asking for a significant deposit before showing up to do a few hours of work is a red flag worth paying attention to. Reputable companies do not need your money before they do the work.
Response time.
How long did it take to get the quote? A company that takes three days to respond to a quote request is showing you how they handle the relationship before they have your money. That pace does not improve after they have it.
The guarantee.
What happens if you are not satisfied? Is there a specific commitment behind it or generic language about customer satisfaction? Our guarantee is specific. Not satisfied we come back. Still not satisfied we refund plus ten percent. That is a real commitment not a marketing phrase.
The contact experience.
Did a real person respond or did you get an AI receptionist? Did you talk to the person who will actually do the work or someone at a call center? For a service that involves someone coming to your property that distinction matters more than most people realize before they have a bad experience.
Ready to get a quote from a company that will actually tell you what you are getting? Fill out our contact form or call or text.
You will hear back the same day.
